Clear, licensed guidance for Barrie students, workers and families, from a CICC-regulated consultant just down Highway 400 who is also authorized to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Barrie’s newcomer community has grown quickly, and so has the range of questions we hear from it: international students at Georgian College planning their next permit, workers commuting into the GTA, and families settling on Kempenfelt Bay who want parents to visit or join them. SEP Immigration, led by Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant Sepehr Falahati (CICC #R533959), works with clients across Barrie and Simcoe County.
We start by understanding the whole household, not just one application. A study permit, a spouse’s work permit and a parent’s visitor visa often need to be planned together, and the choices you make for one can affect the others. We line them up so each step supports the next.
Because our founder is authorized to appear before the Immigration and Refugee Board, we can also act for you in sponsorship appeals, refugee claims and admissibility hearings if your case reaches the tribunal.

Barrie sits on Kempenfelt Bay at the western edge of Lake Simcoe, connected to Toronto by Highway 400 and the Barrie GO line. Georgian College has its main campus here, and the city’s economy spans health care, education, retail, manufacturing and technology.
Barrie’s immigrant population grew by about a third between 2016 and 2021, and the city has the highest proportion of recent arrivals among its immigrants of any municipality in Simcoe County. Many of the families we help here are reuniting with relatives or turning temporary status into permanent residence.

Yes. Our office at 211 Finch Avenue West in North York is reachable via Highway 400, and in-person meetings can be arranged. Most Barrie clients choose online consultations, which save the trip.
They serve different purposes. Parent sponsorship leads to permanent residence but only opens to a limited number of sponsors, while a Super Visa allows extended visits. We look at your income, timing and family plans to recommend the right one.
Some spouses and partners of international students qualify for an open work permit, but eligibility depends on your program and the current rules. We confirm whether your family qualifies before you apply.
Many refusals can be appealed to the Immigration Appeal Division within a strict deadline. Our founder is authorized to represent sponsors before the IRB, so it is best to contact us as soon as you receive the decision.
