This means that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is planning to hold Express Entry draws based on the goals and needs of the labour market.
Occupation, language, or educational attainment will be examples of the criteria based on which, candidates will be invited. This helps IRCC to tailor invitations to meet in-demand qualifications.
IRCC is preparing for technical implementation in early 2023.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is a points-based system to evaluate applicants and the quickest way to immigrate to Canada. There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry:
