The Pearson Test of English is a computer-based test which assesses the English language skills of applicants who intends to apply for university courses in English-speaking countries.
There are currently two designated language tests (CELPIP and IELTS General Training) for candidates to prove their language skills. As of the end of 2023, however, economic class candidates will be able to take PTE as the third approved exam to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
With the approval of PTE exam, there are currently 5 language tests available for economic class immigration candidates;
For English: CELPIP, IELTS and PTE
For French: TEF Canada and TCF Canada
