How to immigrate to Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan is located at the heart of Canada’s prairies and is famous for its beautiful landscapes. The province is located at the southern part of Canada and borders the US from the south.

With its vast rural parts and countless farms, the province plays a key role in producing food for the whole country in addition to exporting crops such as wheat and canola to the world.

Saskatchewan is celebrated for its multicultural communities and welcomes newcomers such as skilled workers, entrepreneurs, international students, etc with open arms.

Saskatchewan offers a unique growing option for individuals seeking high life quality and affordable living expenses.

You can move to Saskatchewan through on of the following pathways:

  • The federal immigration pathways such as the Express Entry.
  • The temporary pathways leading to permanent residency such as education.
  • The Provincial Nominee Program of Saskatchewan named Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Since the province provides good immigration opportunities through its PNP, it is a good idea to consider SINP to immigrate to Saskatchewan. Here is a look at the province’s nominee program:

SINP seeks to allow applicants according to the local needs of the province. The program is divided into the following streams:

International skilled workers: This stream focuses on attracting applicants whose education and skills are aligned with the local needs of the province. The stream falls into three sub-categories:

  • Individuals with a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
  • Individuals experienced in high demand occupations such as farming, healthcare, and operation.
  • Individuals already in the Express Entry pool who match the province’s needs.

Saskatchewan experience: This stream is for individuals already in Saskatchewan such as international students or skilled workers with a work permit.

This stream offers permanent residency to individuals already integrated with Saskatchewan society.

Entrepreneur and farm category: This stream allows entrepreneurs interested in starting or buying a business in Saskatchewan to settle in the province as a Canadian permanent residence.

Also, experienced farmers who plan to purchase or establish a farm in the province are welcomed through this stream.
