You must upload copies of your current and previous status documents issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

  1. Additional Requirements for Certain NOC Codes:
    • If your job offer is for:
      • NOC 73300 (Transport truck drivers)
      • NOC 73301 (Bus drivers, subway operators, and other transit operators)
    • Your employer must provide a copy of their:
      • Valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate.
      • CVOR Abstract (Level 1).

Job Offer Documents Checklist for International Student Stream

1. Job Offer Letter

Include a copy of your job offer letter signed by both you and your employer.

The job offer letter must meet the following requirements:

  • Dated Within Six Months: Ensure the letter is issued within the last six months.
  • Printed on Business Letterhead: Include the business’s:
    • Address
    • Telephone/fax numbers
    • Email address
    • Website (if available)
  • Details of Responsible Officer/Supervisor:
    • Name and signature of the officer/supervisor responsible for the position.
    • Stamped with the business’s corporate seal (if applicable).

Mandatory Information to Include in the Job Offer Letter:

  1. Job Title and NOC Code: Specify the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code for the position. find your National Occupational Classification code
  2. Wage Details: Include the position’s wage.
  3. Duties and Responsibilities: Clearly list the role’s tasks.
  4. Work Hours: Specify hours per week and weeks of work per year.
  5. Vacation Entitlement: Include days/weeks of vacation offered.
  6. Workplace Location: Indicate where the work will take place.
  7. Employment Start Date: Include the starting date of employment.
  8. Full-Time Indeterminate Duration: Confirm that:
    • The position is full-time and of indeterminate duration (no end date).
    • Terms of the job offer are valid as of the nomination date (if already employed) or the date of obtaining a work permit.

If Currently Employed in the Same Position:

  • Submit your original job offer letter, even if older than six months, along with:
    • A recent letter from your employer confirming ongoing employment and the conditions of the job offer.
    • Employer’s signature on the recent confirmation letter (if the original was not signed).
    • Recent confirmation letters must also include all mandatory job offer information.

2. Current Employment

If you are currently working for the employer in the same position as your job offer, include:

  • Two Most Recent Pay Slips: Submit copies showing your employment status and wage details.

3. Collective Agreement (If Applicable)

If your position’s wage does not meet the low wage requirement but aligns with your collective agreement:

  • Include a copy of the relevant section of the agreement that outlines wage requirements.

4. Licence or Authorization (If Applicable)

If your position requires a mandatory licence or other authorization in Ontario:

  • Scan and upload a copy of your licence or authorization.

Checklist for Education, Resumé, and Intention to Reside in Ontario Documents

Education Documents

You must include a scanned copy of the following:

  • Education Credential:
    • Degree, diploma, or certificate earned from an eligible Canadian college or university.
  • Official Transcripts:
    • Issued by the Canadian institution that granted your credential.
