Identity Documents
- Photograph
- Upload a recent photograph of yourself that meets the following requirements:
- Scanned copy of a physical photo or a digital photograph.
- Must comply with passport or visa photo specifications.

- Note: The following types of photographs will not be accepted:
- Photographs of the personal details page of your passport.
- Low-quality or unclear images.
- Passport
- Upload a scanned copy of the personal details page of your passport.
- Include scanned copies of all pages showing Canadian visas and entry stamps.
- Family Members’ Passports (if applicable)
- For each dependent family member included in your application (spouse, common-law partner, children under 22, and their children), upload a scanned copy of the personal details page of their passports.
Status Documents in Canada
If applicable, upload scanned copies of current and previous immigration status documents issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). These documents may include:
- Work permits
- Study permits
- Temporary resident visas
- Other Canadian immigration documents
If you currently have maintained status:
Provide one of the following:- A letter from IRCC acknowledging receipt of your application to extend your status.
- An IRCC fee receipt.
- A post office mailing receipt confirming submission of your application to extend your status (if applicable).

Employer Documents Checklist
1. Employer Form
- Include a completed and signed Application for Approval of an Employment Position (Employer Form) from your employer (or signing officer).
- The form must include detailed business and position information.
- Scan and upload this form in the designated section of your online application.
2. Job Advertisements
- If your employer is required to demonstrate reasonable recruitment efforts, include:
- A copy of the job advertisements your employer posted for the position being offered to you.
- Upload the advertisements under the Application for Approval of an Employment Position (Employer Form) section in your application.
3. Specific Requirements for Certain Job Offers
- For job offers under the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes, include:
- NOC 73300 (Transport Truck Drivers)
- NOC 73301 (Bus Drivers, Subway Operators, and Other Transit Operators)
- A copy of your employer’s valid Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate.
- Include the CVOR Abstract (Level 1).
4. Additional Supporting Documents
- During the application assessment, additional supporting documents may be requested from your employer to validate the information provided in the Employer Form.

Job Offer Documents Checklist
1. Job Offer Letter
You must provide a copy of your job offer letter signed by both you and your employer. Ensure the letter meets the following requirements:
- Date and Format:
- The letter must be less than six months old.
- It should be printed on the employer’s official business letterhead that includes:
- Business address
- Contact information (telephone, fax, email)
- Website (if applicable)
- Authorization and Verification:
- The letter must identify the responsible officer or supervisor.
- It should include their signature.
- If applicable, the letter should be stamped with the company’s corporate seal.
- Details to Include:
- Job title
- National Occupational Classification (NOC) code – Find your National Occupation Classification (NOC)
- Wage for the position
- Duties and responsibilities
- Number of hours per week and weeks per year
- Days or weeks of vacation offered
- Workplace location
- Employment start date
- Confirmation that:
- The job is full-time and of an indeterminate duration (no specified end date).
- Terms and conditions of the offer will take effect on the nomination date (if you are already working for the employer in the approved position) or the work permit date (if starting after obtaining a permit).
If Currently Employed by the Same Employer
- You may submit your original job offer letter with your application, even if it is older than six months.
- However, you must also include a recent letter from your employer confirming:
- Your ongoing employment.
- The current conditions of the job offer.
- Any changes to the position offered.
- The original job offer must:
- Be signed by both you and your employer.
- If it was not originally signed, ensure the recent confirmation letter includes both signatures.
- Include all the required details listed above.
2. Current Employment Documents
If you are currently working for the employer in the same position as your job offer, provide copies of your two most recent pay slips.
3. Collective Agreement:
- If your wage doesn’t meet the median wage but complies with a collective agreement, include a copy of the section that outlines wage requirements.
4. Licence or Authorization:
- For occupations requiring a licence or authorization in Ontario, upload a copy of your licence or authorization document.
5. Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA):
- If you hold a work permit supported by an LMIA, include a copy of the LMIA document. The LMIA must match the NOC code of the position being offered.
Work History Documents
- Employment/Work Experience Reference Letters:
- For positions not requiring a licence or authorization, upload reference letters for any work experience submitted to meet the required two years of experience. Letters must:
- Be on business letterhead with the business address, contact details, and website.
- Include the supervisor’s name and signature.
- Detail your employment dates, job titles, duties, responsibilities, annual salary, benefits, hours per week, and extended leaves (if any).
- You may also submit additional documents such as job descriptions, performance reviews, or job advertisements.
- For positions not requiring a licence or authorization, upload reference letters for any work experience submitted to meet the required two years of experience. Letters must:
- Work Contracts (Optional):
- Include work contracts for relevant work experience to support your application.
- Proof of Compensation:
- Provide proof of salary for the required two years of work experience. Documents can include:
- Pay slips or statements for the first and last month of each work period.
- Bank statements showing salary deposits for the first and last month.
- Income tax documents or letters from employers confirming wages.

- Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Statements:
- If you worked in Canada, submit tax documents such as:
- T4 Statements from Canadian employers.
- Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the CRA.

- If self-employed, provide:

Resumé Requirements
- Submit a copy of your most current resumé with your application.
- Include:

- Contact Information: Residential address, email address, and phone number.
Intention to Reside in Ontario
To show your intent to live in Ontario, include details of your established ties, such as:
- Current or previous employment in Ontario.
- Job offers, applications, or interviews in Ontario.
- Education in Ontario.
- Volunteer work in Ontario.
- Lease agreements or property ownership in Ontario.
- Professional networks or affiliations.
- Family ties in Ontario.
- Social or personal connections.
- Previous visits to Ontario.
Note: If no ties exist, provide a statement of intent indicating your wish to reside in Ontario.
Redaction of Financial Documents
- Black out credit card numbers in financial documents before submission to avoid delays.
Expression of Interest Scoring Factors
If you are invited to apply, include documents for points you claimed:
- Job Offer:
- Job offer letter with job duties and wage details.
- Work Permit Status in Canada:
- Copies of current and previous permits issued by IRCC or CBSA (e.g., work permits, study permits).
- If you have maintained status, include:
- IRCC acknowledgment letter or fee receipt.
- Post office mailing receipt (if applicable).
- Job Tenure with Employer:
- Employer job offer including start date and position details.
- Earnings History:
- Notice of Assessment(s) issued by CRA (last five years).
- Must show at least $40,000 earned in a single calendar year.
- T4 slips alone are not accepted.
- Language Ability:
- Language test results from an approved service (IELTS, CELPIP, PTE Core, TEF Canada, TCF Canada) within the last two years.
- Regional Immigration – Job Location:
- Job offer letter clearly stating the employment location in Ontario.
