What the Canadian Experience Class Is
The Canadian Experience Class is a program managed under Express Entry. It serves candidates with at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience.
This work experience must fall under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Candidates must have gained it within the three years before applying.
Many CEC candidates already live and work in Canada on a valid work permit.
Express Entry holds three round types: general, program-specific, and category-based. This draw was a program-specific round limited to CEC-eligible candidates.
Why the CRS Cut-off Is 519
CEC cut-offs differ noticeably from Provincial Nominee Program rounds. PNP candidates receive an extra 600 points for a nomination, lifting scores higher.

CEC candidates compete on base scores without those 600 points. Because of this scoring system, CEC cut-offs typically remain in the 500s.
What the Tie-Breaking Rule Means
The tie-breaking rule applies when multiple candidates share the lowest CRS score of 519.
IRCC ranks candidates with equal scores by the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profile.
Candidates with a score of 519 received invitations only if they submitted profiles before March 26, 2026 at 00:16:39 UTC.
That tie-break date is nearly six months before the draw. This shows that many applicants held identical scores at 519.
What Happens Next for Invited Candidates
A total of 2,000 candidates received an Invitation to Apply in this draw.
These individuals now have a limited window to submit a complete permanent residence application to IRCC.
